Control Panel Design & Build Shop Videos

Here are some video examples of what appear to be some very good panel shops, at least judging from these videos.  These videos show some of the latest current best practices in control panel design and build practice.   These videos were submitted to Control Engineering Magazine in 2009 and 2010.

I ran across these videos doing some reasearch on what makes a good panel design and finished product.

I think you’ll find some very good design practices represented here.

Updated: 2/19/2011 after noticing the links no longer worked, Control Engineering sent me the following link for the 2010 videos: http://www.controleng.com/controlpanelcontest

The following links are broken as of 2/14/2011.  I leave the reference to them in, in case you can browse for these at the Control Engineering Web Site:

As of 2/15/2011 here is the link to the 2009 videos but they also do not work.  However there are some good descriptions and further references here.

Searching for “control panel design” on the Control Engineering website produced some interesting results that are worthy of exploration as well.  Included are references to the missing videos.
