Here is a link to an interesting application. Currently this is geared for Omron PLC’s but you just know it’s gonna come for other PLC platforms.

Well, I see that an Allen Bradley Ethernet/IP version is indeed in the works. See the “Sweet Wiliams Automation” web site for details.
